Most "free funeral program templates" are Word documents or Canva files — and anyone who has tried to finish one at midnight, two days before a service, knows the reality: text boxes that jump when you type, photos that refuse to stay put, fonts that substitute themselves on someone else's computer. A template shouldn't add work at the hardest possible time.

This template works differently. You fill in a form, and the layout takes care of itself. Type the name, the dates, the order of service, and the obituary; add a photo; the finished program appears beside the form as you type. When it looks right, download a PDF that's already arranged for printing and folding. There is no software to install and no design decisions to fight — just the details of the person you're remembering.

What the template includes

It's a classic bi-fold program: one sheet of Letter or A4 paper, printed on both sides and folded down the middle into a small booklet. The four faces follow the traditional arrangement — a cover with "In Loving Memory of", the photo, name, dates, and service details; the order of service inside on the left; the obituary or life story inside on the right; and pallbearers, acknowledgements, and an optional QR code to an online memorial page on the back.

Three designs are included — a classic centered serif, a more formal engraved style, and a clean modern layout — and you can switch between them at any point without re-entering anything.

Nothing is uploaded

A funeral program holds deeply personal information, so this template runs entirely in your browser. The name, the photo, the obituary — none of it is sent to a server, and there's no account to create. The only copy that exists is the PDF you download.

Printing at home or at a copy shop

Print the PDF double-sided at 100% scale and fold each sheet in half — that's the whole process, and any home printer or copy shop can do it. Because duplex printers disagree about which edge they flip the paper on, the tool includes a one-sheet calibration test so the inside pages never come out upside down.
